Abstract

In article number 1801246, Khabib Yusupov, Alberto Vomiero, and co-workers combine vertically aligned carbon nanotubes forests (VA-CNTFs) as fillers and chemical post-treatment in polymer-based high-efficiency thermoelectric composites, by dispersing VA-CNTF into a poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) polystyrene sulfonate (PEDOT:PSS) matrix. An increased Seebeck coefficient (58.7 mV K−1) and electrical conductivity (1131 S cm−1) after treatments at the lowest operating temperature difference ever are reported. These results are critical towards the development of high-efficiency, low-temperature, flexible thermoelectrics.
