Luminogens: Efficient Bipolar Blue AIEgens for High‐Performance Nondoped Blue OLEDs and Hybrid White OLEDs (Adv. Funct. Mater. 40/2018)

Efficient blue emitters are highly demanded for the application in organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). In article 1803369, Jianhua Zou, Zujin Zhao, Ben Zhong Tang, and co-workers describe a robust blue luminogen with aggregation-induced emission (AIEgen). This blue AIEgen exhibits strong fluorescence in neat films and a bipolar carrier transport ability. High-performance nondoped blue OLEDs and hybrid white OLEDs are achieved based on this AIEgen, demonstrating its great potential in white lighting devices.
