Synthesis of Palladium Icosahedra with Twinned Structure by Blocking Oxidative Etching with Citric Acid or Citrate Ions

Ätzschutz: Zitronensäure und das Citration wurden eingesetzt, um oxidative Ätzprozesse bei der Synthese von Pd-Nanopartikeln zu verhindern. Das Vorgehen nutzt die starke Bindung dieser Moleküle an Pd-Oberflächen und ermöglichte die Synthese von Pd-Ikosaedern (siehe Bild) in Ausbeuten bis 80 %.
