An amorphous CoSe film electrodeposited on a Ti mesh (a-CoSe/Ti) acts as an efficient water-splitting catalyst in strongly basic media, with the need for overpotentials of 292 and 121 mV to drive 10 mA cm−2 for OER and HER, respectively.
Recently, the rate of cancer deaths in less-developed countries such as Bangladesh has significantly increased day by day, making it a major health issue. The most predominant types of cancers among the populations of less-developed countries (especially Bangladesh) are lung, throat, colon, gastric, ovarian, breast, and skin cancers. The mortality rate is increasing for both males and females. The main common factors are smoking, use of tobacco leaves, bacterial or viral infection, hereditary disorders, food adulterations, and environmental factors, which are highly responsible for the development of carcinoma in the young to adult population in this region. Raising consciousness among people regarding early diagnosis, decreasing the use of chemicals such as formalin for food preservation, and reducing environmental pollution such as arsenic as well as air pollution might help to reduce the number of deaths. Education and public campaigns can also reduce the intensity of cancer occurrence. Breast, esophagus, and cervical cancer are common diseases in less-developed countries such as Bangladesh.
Tigecycline is a broad-spectrum antibiotic effective against multidrug-resistant MDR pathogens particularly in complicated intra-abdominal infections cIAIs and complicated skin and soft tissue infections cSSTIs. It is active against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus MRSA vancomycin-resistant enterococci VRE and extended spectrum beta-lactamase ESBL-producing Gram-negative bacteria. However it has limitations against intrinsically resistant organisms such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa Acinetobacter baumannii and carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae. The pharmacokinetics of tigecycline restricts its use in blood stream infections BSIs and pneumonia. Nevertheless combination therapy with colistin or carbapenems has been shown to improve outcomes in patients with BSIs. High-dose tigecycline regimens enhance efficacy but are associated with risk of adverse effects. Its role in stewardship programs is vital however the potential for resistance development necessitates judicious use preference for combination regimens and robust infection control measures.
In the title compound, C(17)H(12)O(3), each of the five-membered rings in the inden-1-one and 1,3-benzodioxole residues is almost planar (r.m.s. deviations = 0.041 and 0.033 Å, respectively). A small twist about the single bond linking the two residues is evident [the C-C-C-C torsion angle = 8.7 (4)°]. Supra-molecular zigzag layers propagating in the ac plane are formed in the crystal via C-H⋯O inter-actions. The layers are linked via π-π inter-actions between the five- and six-membered rings of 1,3-benzodioxole residues [centroid-centroid distance = 3.4977 (14) Å].
Polyvinyl chloride/mixed graphene-carbon nanotube nanocomposites have been fabricated in the form of (PVC/MG-CNTs a-e ) via simple dissolution method with the help of ultrasonic assistance. First, mixed G:CNTs ratio (50:50) wt by wt was prepared. Then, different loadings of that mixed G/CNTs ratio (2, 5, 10, 20, and 30 wt %) were added to the PVC polymer matrix. The fabricated PVC/MG-CNTs a-e nanocomposites were characterized by different techniques including: FT-IR, XRD, SEM, TEM and thermal analyses. The perception found in the FT-IR results of PVC nanocomposites confirm the introduction of mixed G/CNTs nanoparticles in the PVC polymer matrix. The mixed G/CNTs were stimulated in highly regular order in the PVC film and its crystallinity was significantly improved. The thermal property of pure PVC polymer matrix was noted to be highly improved by combining the mixed G/CNTs in the form of nanocomposites. CDT max for all the samples were nearly similar and appeared in the same range of 270–305℃. Here, a potential Ag + ionic sensor has been fabricated based on the glassy carbon electrode coated by PVC/MG-CNT NCs to make a thin layer as working electrode probe. The slope of the calibration curve plotted as current versus the concentration of Ag + ion was used to calculate the sensitivity (6.4241 µAµM −1 cm −2 ) by considering the active surface area of the sensor probe. The current observation based on Ag + ionic concentration is found to be linear over the linear dynamic range, where the detection limit (DL = 14.78 ± 0.74 pM) is measured by considering the signal to noise ratio at 3. Considering the application feature of Ag + ion sensor, the proposed sensor was demonstrated to have good reproducibility and reliability for the sensor application through the determination of toxins in environmental and healthcare fields at broad scales.
An entry from the Cambridge Structural Database, the world’s repository for small molecule crystal structures. The entry contains experimental data from a crystal diffraction study. The deposited dataset for this entry is freely available from the CCDC and typically includes 3D coordinates, cell parameters, space group, experimental conditions and quality measures.
