Unverkennbare Form: Durch Massenspektrometrie wurden trimere Silbercluster in wässrigen AgNO3-Lösungen identifiziert (siehe Schema). Die Cluster bestimmen die Keimbildung und sind somit maßgeblich für das Wachstum dreieckiger Silbernanoplättchen (SEM-Bild unten rechts).
