Thermal gasification of waste biomass from agriculture production for energy purposes

Gasification of biomass/waste transformation into gaseous fuels to produce biogas is an alternative technology to the anaerobic fermentation process employing methane bacteria. Gasification should be understood as denoting a whole range of thermodynamic processes, heat and mass exchange as well as multi-directional exo-and endothermic chemical reactions, which run at high temperatures and result in solid fuel conversion to the gaseous form. Apart from the material being gasified, a gasification agent (steam, air, oxygen or carbon dioxide) also takes part in the process.
