Aims: Liver fibrosis is a major cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. Platelets are involved in liver damage but the underlying molecular mechanisms remain elusive. We here investigate the platelet-derived chemokine CXCL4 as a molecular mediator of fibrotic liver damage.
