Antibacterial Surfaces In article number 2212315, Guomin Wang, Kaiwei Tang, Jianzhong Du, Paul K. Chu, and co-workers report a titanium nitride nanowire coating synthesized by a liquid-phase oxidation process and nitridation. The charged surfaces kill bacteria by exerting electro–mechanical forces, piercing the bacterial membrane and disturbing the electron balance. This work provides new insights into the design of high-performance antibacterial interfaces with clinical applications.
