Herein, measurements of the cloud point (CP) of Triton X-100 (TX-100)/TX-100 + polyethylene glycol-400 (PEG-400) systems were carried out in aqueous/additive solutions. For the clouding process of TX-100 in H2O, the CP values were observed to be reduced first by means of enhancing the TX-100 content up to a fixed level and then increased with increasing content. The CP values of TX-100 were observed to be increased in the presence of PEG-400 and the CP values were further enhanced with enhancing content of PEG-400 in the aqueous medium. In the case of the aqueous solution of alcohol, the CP values of TX-100 solution in the presence and absence of PEG-400 were almost reduced with increasing chain length of alcohols used. For TX-100 + PEG-400 mixed systems, the observed CP values were found to be reduced to a small extent with increasing content of polyols (glucose, galactose, and maltose) and follow the following order: glucose ≈ galactose > maltose. The CP values of TX-100 + PEG-400 mixed systems were observed to be reduced with enhancing contents of diols used. The impact of various diols on increasing CP values of the TX-100 + PEG-400 system was observed in the subsequent trend: 1,2-propanediol > 1,2-ethanediol. The clouding phenomena of the TX-100 + PEG-400 system were observed to be delayed with enhancing the extent of urea.
