Abstract
1 min read
Aqueous solutions of some contaminants (2-chlorophenol, 2,7-dichlorodibenzodioxin and atrazine) are completely degraded to CO 2 (cyanuric acid for atrazine) by irradiation of a dispersion of TiO 2 particles with light (>340 nm). Addition of inorganic oxidizing species modify the rate of disappearance of the initial compounds as well as intermediates and final products formation. Peroxydisulfate and periodate enhance in a significant extent the rate of formation of the final products
