Deoxygenation of Biomass‐Derived Feedstocks: Oxorhenium‐Catalyzed Deoxydehydration of Sugars and Sugar Alcohols

Öl aus Zucker: Die Desoxygenierung von Zuckern ist ein wichtiger Schritt bei der Umwandlung von Biomasse in Chemikalien und Brennstoffe. In dieser Hinsicht erwies sich die Methyltrioxorhenium-katalysierte Desoxydehydratisierung mit einem Alkohol als Lösungs-/Reduktionsmittel als erfolgreich. So wurden auf hoch stereospezifische Weise lineare Polyene aus C4- bis C6-Zuckeralkoholen und aromatische Verbindungen aus C4- bis C6-Zuckern erhalten.
