ChemInform Abstract: 2,5‐Dihydroboroles and 1,3‐Dihydro‐1,3‐diboretes from 1,3‐Dienes and Alkynes by Reaction with Dichloro(diisopropylamino)borane and Alkali Metals.

Subvalent species generated by reaction of dichloro(diisopropylamino)borane (I) with sodium/potassium alloy react in situ with the unsaturated aliphatic hydrocarbons (II) and (IV) to give the title compounds (III) and (V).
