Abstract
1 min readThis chapter presents some of the most recent studies about thestimulation of acupuncture points with low-level light sources. Theso-called laser acupuncture calls the attention of researchers dueto its noninvasiveness and painless application, and the resultspublished so far corroborate, most of the times, to a futureimplementation of this technique as an adjuvant therapy for severalmedical applications. Some studies, however, stated otherwise, leading to the conclusion that the difference between the appliedparameters can lead to different outcomes. This fact leads often to askepticism against this technique, and this can only be changed if theauthors standardize the parameters used in their studies, accordingto each application.
