As the use of therapeutic lasers and light-emitting devices hassteadily increased in small-animal veterinary medicine over the lastdecade, so have the number of manufacturers entering the market.Little has been taught in veterinary colleges regarding light therapy,and most veterinarians have gained their knowledge throughthe manufacturer’s representatives, literature, and seminars. Thispresents a challenge to talk with one another about refiningprotocols of light therapy, yet this is what we must do.
