An Examination Of Relationship Between Social Capital And Organizational Creativity According To Teachers′ Perceptions — Konul Abasli (2018) | RDL Network
The purpose of the study was to examine teachers’ perceptions of social capital and<br> organizational creativity and to explore whether there is a significant relationship<br> between these variables. The study adopted a correlational survey method in the<br> study. The study group of research was composed of 297 teachers. The data were<br> collected over the Internet and social capital and organizational creativity scales were<br> used. Descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, multiple linear regression, and<br> confirmatory factor analysis were used for analyzing the data. According to the results,<br> the perceptions of the teachers’ were relatively moderate level about social capital and<br> were also relatively high level about organizational creativity. It has been found that<br> interest, interaction and participation dimension of social capital and the individual<br> creativity dimension of organizational creativity have the highest average values. The<br> researcher found significant correlations which were relatively low, moderate and<br> strong among the dimensions of variables. In addition, it was observed that social<br> networks and interests, interaction and participation dimensions function as<br> significant predictor of individual creativity; norms and values dimension functions<br> as a significant predictor of administrative creativity, and all dimensions of social<br> capital perform as significant predictor of social creativity. Also findings showed that<br> it is advisable to develop policies about interaction, trust and democratic<br> understanding among school staff. In addition, the relationships between variables can<br> be reexamined by mixed or qualitative methods
