The area of the Special Nature Reserve "Deliblatska pešĉara" has a huge capital of pristine nature. On the one hand, this is an important area for plant and animal species, while, on the other hand, it is attractive for tourists as important users of place. This area has sensitive ecosystems and is important for conservation of geodiversity. Precisely for this reason, it represents a significant tourist potential. The economic revenues of tourism can be used for proper monitoring and nature protection by directing the money to improve protection area system. It is one of the basic postulates of sustainable tourism development.
Tourism and forms that are manifested in a specific area are subjected to intensive scientific-professional analysis of different goals and tasks. In addition to monitoring the volume of tourism flow, it is also important to analyze the effects on ecosystem values within destinations. Such effects are mainly manifested on environmental elements such as air and water, but they are nothing less manifested on coastal areas, urban and mountain areas. All these effects are analyzed in this paper. Attractive tourism areas are also valuable biocoenosis which is inhabited with endemic plant and animal species. Besides that, those are the areas with fragile ecosystems, swamps, areas important for the protection of biodiversity, where ecological niche and valence are the priority in environment protection systems.

Because of that, both domestic and foreign literature more increasingly use the acronym MICE for these types of travel. This part of the tourist market is an extremely important part of business, especially when it comes to the extension of the tourist season, which increases the attractiveness of the tourist destination and the economic effects achieved by the development of this part of the tourist market.
The history of a nation is reflected in its cultural and historical resources. Sacral monuments of Serbia today represent an inevitably attractive factor and an underlying segment of a specific form of tourism and cultural tourism called religious tourism. Some of the most important religious destinations in the world, with their inexhaustible sacral treasures, have recorded a very significant foreign exchange revenue from tourism. It contributes to cultural heritage as one of the most important sources in tourism, which attracts a significant number of tourists in the world and represents an important potential for sustainable tourism development. Tourism development of the Republic of Serbia, among other things, is based on the valorization of cultural and historical heritage, among which an important place is occupied by monasteries and churches of the Serbian Orthodox Church. Serbian Orthodox Church has many facilities that have significant historical, cultural and religious value in the national and international context. The monasteries of Raška, of the Moravian and Serbian Byzantine School, but also those at Fruška Gora and in the region of Ovčar Kablar stand out as the most important religious monuments in Serbia. In the year when we celebrate 800 years of the autocracy of the Serbian Orthodox Church, this paper examines the values of the sacral monuments that were created as the endowments of the Nemanjić family, which represent still underused resources for the development of tourism in Serbia.

Botanical areas under international protection are important for preserving plant and animal ecosystems. Forest ecosystems within Important Plant Areas (IPAs) are essential for preserving biological and species diversity. In AP Vojvodina (Northern Serbia), there are 27 IPAs, totaling 328,208 ha. Fruška Gora National Park (FGNP) territory is under international protection as an IPA. A large part of this park is covered by a forest ecosystem comprising various deciduous and evergreen trees, shrubs, and grasses. The forest ecosystem in FGNP is rich with natural attractions that are important for hiking, mountaineering, trekking, scientific tourism, wildlife, bird and animal watching, and community tourism. In this article, the authors used a quantitative method of collecting and processing data obtained through survey research. For this research, 610 respondents (325 residents and 285 visitors) were surveyed. Using questionnaires, the respondents expressed their opinions about the tourism potential of FGNP, as well as the satisfaction of tourists with current tourism development. The research results indicate that the forest ecosystem within the FGNP and IPA area has an important potential for the development of nature-based tourism (NbT) and that this tourism form significantly affects not only the satisfaction of the respondents but also increased awareness of the preservation and protection of these areas.
In the northern part of Serbia, where the Autonomous Province (AP) of Vojvodina is located, a total of 27 important plant areas (IPAs) have been established. Within three selected IPAs, there are different biocenoses inhabited by endemic plant and animal species, which form a unique sensitive ecosystem. Furthermore, in these areas, there are wetlands and areas important for geodiversity maintenance. The three studied IPAs include the territory of special nature reserves of the same name: the Special Nature Reserve (SNR) Zasavica, the SNR Obedska Bara, and the SNR Koviljsko-Petrovaradinski Rit. In these selected protected areas, tourist activities are carried out at different levels of development and through various forms of tourism. This research used quantitative methodology to examine the degree of sustainable tourism development and its impact on residents. A total of 1134 respondents were surveyed using a questionnaire as an instrument. The obtained results indicate that the selected IPAs can be destinations for sustainable tourism development. Ecological and sociocultural dimensions of sustainability contribute to this type of tourism to the greatest extent. Analyzing the data related to the impact of sustainable tourism on the respondents’ satisfaction, we concluded that they feel a certain satisfaction with sustainable tourism in all three investigated protected areas. The survey results called attention to the possibility of developing nature-based forms of tourism, in which the residents’ role in tourism planning and development should be strengthened. All forms of tourism that are developed here should have the primary goal of protecting nature in these IPAs.

Economic development, the impacts of tourism on the economy and monetary policy, the development of destinations such as a mountain, coastal, urban and rural, impacts on the domicile population and participants of the travel, are a constant topic in the debates of broad global economic and demographic scientific structures. Tourism as a factor of the revitalization of certain regions is often mentioned. The development of tourism in these areas can improve the bad economic situation. Likewise, ethnic-social values, which make the authenticity of a particular area, strengthening through tourism, can raise the image of the destination to the highest levels. This would also contribute to economic balance because non-tourist-valued areas would get a chance to engage in important tourism potentials. Therefore, tourism is given the power to foster the socioeconomic and demographic development of the country, and it is no wonder that tourism is written as development potential.
Sustainable tourism development of the northern part of Serbia in Autonomous Province of Vojvodina aims to achieve ecological, sociocultural, and economic benefits. This means that all entities should be included in the planning and implementation of tourism, such as the local community, tourists, and state entities, while tourism activity should be focused on improving ecological principles and sociocultural conception in a destination. One of the models of this development is seen in specific products that can play a significant role in tourism development. Such an authentic product is wine, which has a very important role in the promotion of tourism. The aim of this paper is to explore Vojvodina—the region of Serbia—as a valuable wine tourism destination in the country, especially the experiences of the wine routes. We use descriptive statistics techniques to summarize and present the data and adopt a correlation analysis technique to describe respondents’ preference on the importance of the wine routes. In the empirical survey, the main conclusion is a positive correlation that by developing wine tourism in Vojvodina, we can influence economic development of the region.

The research findings may be significant in the creation of plans for the growth of tourism.
The selected protected areas represent significant examples for analyzing the tourism offer whose results largely interpret the state and the perspective of sustainable development. Considering these indicators at the level of tourism development in the analyzed protected areas can contribute to the development of planning models and strategies of sustainable development. On the other hand, with proper implementation, the values of all elements of the environment that is significant for the users of the areas are directly improved which directly enables the sustainable development of a destination. Research data have been collected through a questionnaire, processed and displayed by the Chi-Square and Friedman Tests, which identified average values and obvious differences in displayed values of sustainable tourism development indicators in selected protected areas.
Sustainable development can be an element of tourism success if its principles are included in the process of strategic tourism development planning, and if such a concept is one of the strategic development goals. The paper analyzes the impact of the perception of the local population and visitors and their satisfaction with the development of tourism in the protected mountain area of Fruška Gora National Park, which has an abundance of natural, cultural, and social tourism resources that are directly included in the tourism offer. Maintaining natural and social values within this sensitive tourist destination, eliminating negative effects of tourism, strengthening the role of residents and visitors in tourism planning and development, and initiating special and other forms of tourism should be the basis of tourism development in this preserved area. The purpose of the research was to obtain important results on the residents’ attitudes and visitors’ satisfaction with the state of sustainable tourism within this national park, using quantitative methodology and an SPSS analysis of the conducted questionnaire. The respondents’ attitudes referred to environmental, economic, sociocultural, and institutional sustainability as being significant foundations of sustainable tourism development. The results revealed not only that tourism in Fruška Gora National Park was partially sustainable, but also that there was a need to improve all dimensions of sustainability. Such results could be used to transform tourism development strategies by emphasizing the growth of sustainable forms of tourism activities. The construction of tourist facilities and infrastructures must be based on environmental protection and residents must be directly involved in tourism development planning.
This paper examines the connection between secondary vocational education and continuing education. The influence of professional subjects and their impact on students and the creation of attitudes about further education, as well as the implementation of various, combined training models, are studied in particular. For the purposes of this research, a total of 201 students from three secondary vocational schools in the fields of trade, catering, tourism, economics, law, and administration were surveyed using a random sampling method. The educational profiles of the tested students are economic technician, tourist technician, cook, and waiter. The research objective was to determine whether the quality of professional subjects is important when choosing further tourism studies. In addition to the fact that teaching professional subjects develops certain students? competencies, the application of the quantitative methodology in the research showed that it also affects the choice of future educational profiles with high school students. The surveyed students have significantly opted for the choice of faculties and colleges of applied studies in natural and social sciences and humanities.
In this research, the relationship between the teaching of professional subjects and student satisfaction with the quality of professional teaching and practical forms of teaching was examined. Special emphasis is placed on the study of the impact of educational dimensions on the quality of professional teaching. These are: the development of key competences, the use of modern teaching tools and cross-subject correlation, and the use of different teaching methods and techniques in professional teaching in secondary vocational school. For the purposes of this research, an adapted PoS (Prism of Sustainability) model was used, which was conceived on the application of the technique of surveying students and their parents, using a written questionnaire as an instrument in the research. A total of 129 respondents (70 students and 59 parents) expressed their views on the claims that can indicate the quality of the teaching of professional subjects. In addition, the respondents evaluated the statements related to the impact of professional teaching on student satisfaction with the quality of such teaching. The collected data were processed and analyzed with the help of statistical software SPSS v.21. After examining the reliability of the scales and variables, the obtained data were presented with the help of tables. The results of the research indicate significant influences of educational dimensions on the quality of teaching professional subjects, which fully confirmed the auxiliary hypotheses. In addition, the research established that professional teaching significantly contributes to student satisfaction with the quality of teaching, thus the main hypothesis is fully accepted. The results of this research can help in the design of teaching in secondary vocational schools and in the preparation of operational and individual teaching plans.
Daily maintenance of cultural awareness is one of the tasks in planning tourism development worldwide. In order to integrate tourism into the context of general cultural and social development, it is necessary to continuously inform and educate all tourism stakeholders about the correct and ethically acceptable ways of using tourism resources. Since cultural resources often become degraded, sometimes with inability to revitalize, special attention must be paid to tourism planning and touristic value commercialization. Through the process of cultural emancipation, it is necessary to minimize the conflicts that may arise between the guest, the host and the space as the environment in this interaction. One of the models can be found in the positive impact which ethical codes can exert on the development of the culture of behaviour in tourism, as a social phenomenon.
