My research interests cover the application of numerical modeling and analytics to support decision making. Those applications, mainly grounded in Operations Research (OR), cover governance, pricing and finance of utilities (mainly water supply, wastewater and waste), with a focus on tariff structures and key investments under critical socio-economic and environmental situations. Additional experience in the adaptation of IT technologies for flood forecasting and alerts, asset management, and economic-financial viability of affordable housing. Experience in teaching, R&D and consulting projects, organization of thematic events (e.g., conferences, workshops) and publishing initiatives (as Editor, Reviewer and Author). - Main areas of expertise - NUMERICAL MODELLING & ANALYTICS Multi-criteria Value-based Methods | Multi-criteria Outranking Methods | Multi-Objective Optimization Programming | Discrete Event Simulation | System Dynamics | Data Envelopment Analysis | Stochastic Frontiers | Statistics | Data Mining INFRASTRUCTURE SYSTEMS (mainly water supply, wastewater, waste and flood management) Systems Governance | Pricing - Tariff structure modeling | Contracting | Investment | Risk Analysis | Climate Change | Utility Economics & Policy | Regulatory Substance | Regulatory Governance | Regulatory Impact Assessment | Problem Structuring | Elicitation of Preferences | Uncertainty | Performance | Productivity | Efficiency | Design | Planning | Desalination | Wastewater and Stormwater Reuse | Nature Based Solutions
