Claudiu Coman

I am a professor at Transilvania University of Brasov, Faculty of Sociology and Communication, in Brasov, Romania. Since 2016 I also have the position of the Dean of the faculty. I graduated from Transilvania University of Brasov, specializing in Sociology and in 2003 I obtained my PhD degree at Babeş-Bolyai University of Cluj, Social and Political Sciences, with the thesis "Strategies of Political Communication in the Election Campaigns in the Romanian public space". With the beginning of the academic year 2018 I am also a PhD supervisor at University of Craiova. My main scientific interests and directions of research are Sociology of Communication, Political Communication, Mass Media Sociology, Management of Image Campaigns and Voting behavior. I published more than 25 works in recognized publishers, 30 articles in national and international ISI-rated journals, or indexed in International Databases (BDIs). 70 papers were published in the volumes of specialized conferences or other scientific events held in the country and abroad. Over the course of my career I was involved in multiple projects as member as well as project manager and I am currently member of many associations from which I mention: the Association of Sociology and Pragmatic Studies (ASSPRA), the Romanian Association of Sociology, and Romanian Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education, the Commission for Social, Political and Communication Sciences.
