Intrinsically doped YCu<sub>x</sub>Te<sub>2</sub> samples exhibit very low thermal conductivity (∼0.5 W m<sup>−1</sup> K<sup>−1</sup>) with high <italic>zT</italic> ∼0.75 at 780 K.
