Elektrische Wellenmechanik: Ein neu entworfener triboelektrischer Nanogenerator beruht auf der Kontaktelektrisierung zwischen einer gemusterten Anordnung von Polydimethylsiloxan-Pyramiden und Wasser. Ein preisgünstiger und einfacher Prototyp des Nanogenerators belegt dessen Potenzial zur Energiegewinnung aus Wellen in Flüssigkeiten sowie als chemischer und Temperatursensor.
