Torque Ripple Suppression of a Five-phase Induction Motor under Single-phase Open

Abstract
1 min read
This digest introduces a new minimum torque ripple control strategy for post-fault operation of a five-phase concentrated-full-pitch winding induction motor. Based on the steady-state motor model in terms of symmetrical components, a control concept that the torque ripple with larger coefficient should be eliminated is proposed. Combining with the MMF invariance principle, the proposed strategy shows a better performance than the existing strategy in terms of torque ripple, average torque and efficiency. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed strategy is validated by simulations and experimental results.
