Complexes of palladium with the bisphosphine ligand CyPFt-Bu are reported to catalyze the C-S cross-coupling between bromo- or iodoarenes and free thiols in very good to excellent yields and without the formation of side products. The reaction has a broad substrate scope and tolerates a wide range of functional groups.
