This study investigated the effects of shaking stimulation on center of pressure (COP) sway in older adults during open-eye and closed-eye conditions. Fifteen participants received a 5-minute shaking stimulation intervention on a vibration platform. COP sway measures (area, length, anterior-posterior, left-right) were collected before and after the intervention. While shaking stimulation showed a tendency to decrease COP sway in both conditions, the differences between open-eye and closed-eye conditions were not statistically significant.
