In order to reduce the computational complexity and improve the performance of the CDMA system, Clonal selection algorithm (CLONALG), which has the ability of solution to complex combinatorial optimization problem is applied to multiuser detection of CDMA system over fading channel. Employing CLONALG to determine each user symbol bit transmitted simultaneously. Simulation results show that the detector based on CLONALG not only has the performance of combating multiple access interference and near-far resistance but also offers a trade-off between an optimum BER performance and the computational complexity, the detection time by adjusting the parameter of algorithm. Comparing with optimum multiuser detector, its computational complexity can be obviously reduced.
