The structure of tetrapotassium tetrakis(2-methyl-2-sila-2-propanolate), (KOSiMe 3 ) 4 , is reported. The cubane-like tetramer lies on a position of crystallographic symmetry 23; the Me 3 SiO unit and the K atom lie on a crystallographic threefold axis
