With increased interest in organosilanes and silonates for various cross-coupling reactions the authors of this paper demonstrate the regioselective and stereoselective sila-Cope rearrangement of various substrates catalyzed by cationic gold(I) complexes. Depending on the nucleophile, the regioselectivity is completely reversed and therefore highly useful.
