Stability and gasoil cracking behavior of SAPO 37. Possibilities for octane enhancement

Three samples of SAPO 37 with different Si content have been synthesized. The elimination of TPA and TMA, and the stability of the remaining material when exposed to moisture at room temperature, have been studied by in situ IR spectroscopy. The cracking of gasoil has been carried out on calcined and steamed samples. The full product distribution in the gasoline, as well as the selectivities to gasoline and gases, and total conversion can be explained on the basis of a topological model.
