Sensors: Full Dynamic‐Range Pressure Sensor Matrix Based on Optical and Electrical Dual‐Mode Sensing (Adv. Mater. 15/2017)

A pressure-sensitive matrix (PSM) with a full dynamic-range is shown by Caofeng Pan, Zhong Lin Wang, and co-workers in article number 1605817 to be able to accurately detect and spatially map a pressure profile. A 100 × 100 large-scale PSM gives both electrical and optical signals by itself without application an external power. The device represents a major step toward digital imaging, and the visible display of the pressure distribution covers a large dynamic range.
