Selection of drainage incision after double subtotal thyroidectomy

Objective To investigate the application effect of three different drainage incision after double subtotal thyroidectomy. Methods A total of 180 patients with double subtotal thyroidectomy were randomly divided into group A, group B, group C and each of 60 cases. The drainage incision of group A was selected at the suprasternal fossa, group B was selected at the incision dermatoglyph, group C was selected at one end of the quondam incision. The drainage volume, drainage tube detaining time, degree of satisfaction and complications of the three groups were compared. Results There was no case with incision of infection among the three groups, drainage volume, hydrocele of neck discomfort of neck and the time of insertion in group B and group C were significantly different compared with group A, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). The pain degree and the degree of satisfaction of group C had more advantages than that of group A and group B(P<0.01). Conclusions Double subtotal thyroidectomy with drainage tube at the end of the original incision has obvious advantages and is worthy of clinical promotion.
