A single-codebook, constant-rate (SCCR) low- density parity-check (LDPC) coding scheme is proposed for the ordered MIMO-OFDM channels, which are derived through singular value decomposition (SVD) based eigen-beamforming and sub-channel grouping (SCG) techniques. The multiple-target constant power (MT-CP) control policy is applied to assign loaded bits for each decoupled spatial stream transmitted by the ordered channels, and the allocated power is optimized by ergodic capacity results in combination with LDPC code margins for ordered MIMO-OFDM channels at certain target bit-error rate (BER). By using optimized bit loading and power allocation, SCCR LDPC code with medium codeword size achieves BER of at SNR of only 3.3 dB away from capacity limit of ordered MIMO-OFDM channels.
