Abstract

Here, the authors combine magnetoreflectance experiments with theoretical modeling based on the k$\ensuremath{\cdot}$p approach to explore the origin and properties of intravalley excitons in WSe${}_{2}$ bi-, tri-, and quadlayers. The reflectance spectra display rich excitonic series across all thicknesses. By comparing magnetoreflectance data with theoretical predictions, the authors reveal that excitonic resonances in trilayers arise from two distinct Rydberg series, quadlayers exhibit four such series, and bilayers feature a single Rydberg series akin to that of monolayers.
