Cancer-associated inflammation has been considered the seventh hallmark of . Researches have shown that many chronic inflammatory lung diseases are associated with the initiation or progression of lung cancer.Chronic inflammation induced oxidative stress and immunosuppression microenvironment formation can cause the disorder of related signaling pathways, and induce the activation of protooncogene and inactivation of anti-oncogene, then promote the development of lung cancer.This article discusses the association between lung cancer and some common chronic inflammatory lung diseases, such as the chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, and tuberculosis, and probes that how they promote the initiation or progression of lung cancer by chronic inflammation.
