This paper proposes a new non-contact measurement method to solve the problem of accurately measuring the shafting thrust in the complex environment. According to the principle of shafting deformation, the small change of axial displacement is sensed by the light-receiving sensor, and then the accurate shafting thrust value can be obtained. However, due to this method's high precision and high sensitivity, the results are easily disturbed by the complex environment. This article is based on shafting speed change in ship navigation; the error interference of axial displacement deformation in the non-contact thrust measurement method is calculated theoretically, simulated by the ANSYS model and verified by experiments. The final results show that with the increase in rotating speed, the axial displacement deformation increases gradually with the trend of the quadratic function.
