Abstract
1 min readAbstract Behavioural therapy is effective in both adult and paediatric obsessive–compulsive disorder (OCD). Exposure therapy is a key component of behavioural therapy. Cognitive interventions may also play a role in the treatment of OCD. It is useful to obtain a patient’s explanatory model of their disorder. Both pharmacotherapy and psychotherapy reverse striatal dysfunction in OCD.
