Maghemite nanoclusters has been incorporated into polyaniline (PAn) matrixes, resulting in the fabrication of conductive and superparamagnetic plastic films. The polymer matrix for hosting the nanocluster must be soluble, stable, and conductive. The electrical conductivity of the resulting nanocomposite films decreases with increasing γ-Fe2O3 content, possibly because the conduction path is partially blocked by the γ-Fe2O3 nanoclusters embedded in the PAn matrix.
