The screening of six ionic liqs. used as reaction media in free radical polymn. of Me methacrylate and styrene was performed. AIBN was used as initiator for the polymn. of Me methacrylate and benzoyl peroxide in the case of styrene. Soly. of the used ionic liqs. in these monomers and water was also investigated. The obtained results show that certain ionic liqs. can be used in an efficient and ecol. way in polymn. processes
