MoS also coordinates neutral Cu compounds: It adds, e.g., to the "CuCN molecule" to give a complex with a dinuclear anion, in which a linear Mo…Cu…CN array is present with Mo in a tetrahedral and Cu in an almost trigonal planar environment. An infinitely long CuCN chain is analogously directly coordinated.
