This paper studies a parallel full-bridge converter with less ripple current and balance load current for low voltage DC microgrid applications. Two full-bridge circuits use same active switches at lagging-leg. Therefore, the zero-voltage switching range of lagging-leg switches is improved. Current doubler rectifiers are adopted to decrease ripple current on output inductor and capacitor. The output voltage regulation and low switching loss are achieved by using phase-shift pulse-width modulation operation. The performance of the studied circuit is verified by experiments with a laboratory prototype rated 1.92 kW.
