Abstract

H. Yan and co-workers design a novel 3D-structure molecular acceptor material that enables an unusual combination of weak molecular aggregation yet a reasonably strong electron transport property. On page 1015, this new molecular acceptor material yields non-fullerene organic solar cells with an impressive 5.5% power conversion efficiency. This offers a new molecular design approach to efficient non-fullerene organic solar cells.
