On the theory of optimal, constant thickness fibre-reinforced plates—II

The investigation of optimal fibre reinforcement layouts begun earlier1 is continued and extended to another important combination of support conditions. It is also shown that all the deflected shapes for the slabs discussed in the previous paper are everywhere both displacement and slope continuous, and hence are global optima.
