The <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">p</tex> -point uncertainty class (also known as Sakrison's class b) is considered. Although the p-point class is not a <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">2</tex> -alternating Choquet capacity class, it is shown how many of the robust signal processing and communication theory results which have been developed for capacity classes can be applied to the <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">p</tex> -point class by embedding it in a slightly larger "extended <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">p</tex> -point class."
