Nonlinearity as a sensitive informative marker in the ENSO model

In this paper, we use the basic idea of the exp-function method to obtain an exact solution of a sea–air oscillator for the ENSO model. The effect of a nonlinear term on the properties of the El-Niño/Southern Oscillation is illustrated.
