Microfabrication by microcontact printing of self‐assembled monolayers

Microcontact printing , is described. It offers extreme experimental simplicity and flexibility, relying on the ability of self‐assembled monolayers (SAMs) of longchain alkanethiolates on gold and other metals to act as nanometer resists.
