Despite the small sample size, MR spectroscopic imaging indicates a metabolic response in participants treated with LLLT compared with those receiving sham treatment. This potentially suggests a neuroprotective and anti-inflammatory effect from the acute administration of LLLT in individuals with moderate TBI.
