Abstract
1 min read
The interaction between two re-entries and between a single re-entry and a defect was studied both numerically and experimentally in two coupled parallel excitable fibers. This study was carried out as a function of the chirality of the re-entries and the initial difference of phase between them in two homogeneous fibers. Unstable bound states were found to drift even in homogeneous systems due to the spatial symmetry breaking generated by the presence of interacting re-entries in the medium.
