Influencia de la presión, luz y temperatura sobre la producción de micrófitos en periodos cortos. problemas metodológicos de la técnica del oxigeno — Josep Penuelas (1987) | RDL Network
Higher plants are not found below 8-10 m depth in lakes. Hydrostatic pressure appears to be a plaussible determinant of this limitation because in many cases there are light intensities above compensation points further below 8-10 m depth. Bryophytes and algae are found much deeper. It has been studied the effect of hydrostatic pressure, light and temperature on macrophyte (a bryophyte, an alga and a higher plant) production during short periods (1 day).in an experimental system that enables the control of these parameters. Oxygen technique and pH measurement have been used.
