Power white LED of 1 W based on multi-chips integrated which is developed by ourselves has been tested. From the test results, it is found that the luminous decay is only about 12 %, after the lamp keeps enlightened for 900 h. So, it is slower than conventional white LED packing with brackets. (Furthermore,) the shift of color temperature is also not obvious. The color temperature of (1 W) white LEDs covers from 2 700 K to 13 000 K, and the color rendering index can achieve over 80. As such, the performance of power white LEDs can meet the illumination requirement completely. Integrating several chips on one heat sink by different serial and parallel modes, the power LEDs can realize different rating voltages and currents accordingly. This can match the power LEDs driver widely, increase the whole light emitting efficiency, decrease cost, and meet the requirements of different illumination location. Three examples of driver design are provided.
