This paper proposes a high step-down dc-dc converter. In the proposed converter, the high step-down voltage gain is achieved by using diode-capacitor-inductor cells for the whole range of duty cycles. Opposite of the conventional interleaved high step-down converters, this converter has a single voltage gain equation for all duty cycles. The voltage stress on switches in the proposed converter is low. The proposed converter is analyzed and the voltage gain, voltage stress on switches and diodes, average currents of switches, inductors and diodes are calculated. The performance of the proposed converter is reconfirmed by using simulation results in PSCAD/EMTDC software.
