The papers in this special section focus on intelligent informatics for the edge of things in smart industrial ecosystems. In the recent years, Internet of Thing (IoT) has been widely deployed in numerous areas ranging from the development of smart cities and smart homes, smart grid, smart vehicles, smart health to the smart manufacturing and industrial management.
