Environmental awareness and health concerns have led to a surge in green technology advances. Integration of outstanding nanofiber membrane properties with sustainable and safer approaches has paved the way for unprecedented progress with innovation and discoveries in several applications, including blood, air, and wastewater purification, as well as in biomedical and environmental areas. This chapter presents research advances and efforts based on the greener approach used for nanofiber membrane fabrication, which facilitates eco-friendlier and sustainable processes for a greener-balanced environment and a sustainable future. An overview of the raw materials, methods, and solvents used in the fabrication processes up to the posttreatment in compliance with the green approach strategy is thoroughly discussed. In conclusion, the current challenges and prospects of green nanofiber membranes are briefly discussed.
